Benjamin is Crawling!!!

Benjamin learned how to crawl a week ago! The boys were really excited, but not quite as excited as Benjamin. He has been trying and getting very frustrated for about a month now. On Tuesday night he just suddenly figured it out. Every move he made he just laughed and laughed because he was so proud of himself. It was cute. I wasn't fast enough to get the laughing on camera, but I did get a little video of him crawling. Misha thought it was fun to put something far away and then as soon as Benjamin got there to move it again. Benjamin didn't seem to mind too much because he was just so happy that he could finally get somewhere. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Mike's Havasupai trip

Mike recently took the young men to Havasupai Falls. They left Wednesday afternoon, drove until late at night and stared hiking down at about one in the morning. It was a tough hike, but supposedly worth it as it was gorgeous down at the bottom. Here are a few of the many pictures Mike brought back with him (including a scary video (for those of us who do not like heights) in which Mike tapes himself descending a cliff). Enjoy the pictures!

School Days

Yesterday was the first day of school. Misha started half day kindergarten, and Allen started first grade. It was an exciting day, but also a little sad for me. They both did wonderfully and were ready to go back again today. Here are some pictures from our first day.

We started off by taking Allen to school. He was pretty excited because he now gets to move on to first grade stuff. He was especially excited about getting to eat his lunch at school. Once he got there, they got straight to work and we didn't get to take any more pictures. But, I think his day went pretty well, and he came home happy.

Misha was so excited that I couldn't get him to stay still for pictures. So, this is the best I could do. He was pretty much jumping up and down waiting to get going.

Once he got to school his teacher took them around a little and showed t hem how to walk in a line. Misha was so intent upon her every word and he really wanted to be sure to do exactly what she said. I think he heard Allen say so much about getting O's (Outstanding) for citizenship everyday that he wants to be sure to do the same thing.

Simeon was a little sad to be left behind. He actually told Misha at lunch time that he was going to miss him (that is pretty big seeing as how they don't really get along). Mike and I took him to the library to kind of cheer him up after we dropped Misha off. I think it helped!
